Given the necessary truth
about the gospel news
makes one very accountable
in spite of one’s own views

not able to claim innocence
no plea has one to give
in order that one may offer
to have a chance to live

standing before the throne of God
trembling deep in fear
what defense can hope to offer
the condemned waiting there

pronounced guilty still in their shame
their sin not washed away
too late for grace to save their souls
no hope to ever pray

because God will bring all to mind
the times He sent His word
reflected on a hardened heart
He shows how one has heard

that justice is fair and right
man’s will has gone too late
when God rejects the soul He gave
a fiery lake does wait
____
don’t be foolish rejecting Christ
receive His word with glee
having faith to believe the truth
and live eternally
